Chiropractic Care:Frozen Shoulder Pain Relief

There are a wide array of underlying issues that can lead to frozen shoulder pain symptoms.  Common symptoms include stiffness, limited range of motion and general pain in the region.  Fortunately, all of these symptoms respond very well to chiropractic care!

Shoulder Injuries

Traumatic injuries can lead to a frozen shoulder.  Most commonly associated with car accident injuries or sports injuries, these are the leading causes that can aggravate the shoulder joint.  Whiplash, which is most commonly associated with neck pain, can pinch nerves that affect the sensation and functionality of the shoulder.

Subluxations

Many aren't aware, but spinal subluxations can also cause issues to the function of the shoulder joint. If there is a misalignment in the spine causing nerves to pinch that control our shoulder, a frozen shoulder can be one of the consequences.  A subluxation can be caused by poor posture, an injury, physical activity, being overweight or even stress.  A chiropractor is trained to help treat subluxations in the spine.

During your initial consultation, Dr. Blakely will provide a thorough analysis of the symptoms you are experiencing in your shoulder, including the times that you most often feel a frozen shoulder condition to help pinpoint what activities could be causing this.  In some cases an x-ray will be performed, this will give him a snapshot of the underlying issues that may be causing the pain.  Once identified he will provide a comprehensive personalized treatment plan to help you relieve your condition and work towards a full healing of the shoulder!
